X-ray film viewers with shutters

The NGP 31mZ,41mZ,31mZU,41mZU X-ray film viewer for mammograms with shutters, manufactured by ULTRAVIOL is designed for examination of eight mammograms of both frames (18×24 cm and 24×30 cm films).
Due to the shutters, the X-ray film viewer is convenient for glare-free film reading. Collimation combined with luminous density control improves identification of even tiniest detailes (microcalcifications).

CONSTRUCTION

The housing of the X-ray film viewer is made of steel sheet with powder-lacquer coating. The screen is made of frosted perspex with uniform light transmissivity. The appliance is suitable for wall mounting.
The high-frequency X-ray film viewers are equipped with modern fluorescent lamps manufactured by PHILIPS Co. They emit daylight of colour temperature 6 500 K that allows pictures to be viewed without eyestrain even for a long time.
The fluorescent lamps, used in the 31mZ,41mZ,31mZU,41mZU X-ray film viewers for mammograms are supplied with high-frequency converters that decisively increases comfort of the radiologist’s work and significantly reduces eyestrain. This option completely eliminates flickering effect and provides adjustment of luminance within the wide range from 100% to 10% of maximum value. APPLICATION
The NGP-series X-ray film viewers are designed for examination of X-ray films of any dimensions. They are in operating rooms, examinations rooms, etc.
DESIGN
The NGP-81 X-ray film viewer is shown in Fig. 1 as an example.
The X-ray film viewer is mounted in a tough rectangular housing made of steel sheet. The viewer screen is made of opal plexiglass. The unit is designed for on-wall mounting or for standing.
The screen is illuminated by modern fluorescent lamps of colour temperature (6500 K - Day Light) and rated power selected so as to allow prolonged examination of rentgenograms without eye fatigue. Electronic control of the viewer screen brightness (luminance) allows the screen brightness to be selected according to the X-ray film optical density and specific requirements of the user. Brightness of each frame of the viewer can be adjusted separately within the range from 100% to 60% of the maximum value.
