Scandmed AB is a Sweden based surgical instrument company manufacturing advanced computerized tourniquets, silicon cuffs both washable and autoclavable, micro instruments of stainless steel and titanium and stainless steel Gigli wire saws.

Convenient, safe and complete tourniquet systems for every application, Scandmed offers automatic tourniquet systems that meet your needs and your budget, no matter what procedure you are performing. We have a comprehensive six model range for use in orthopedic surgery, which includes two pneumatic mechanical models and four electronic models with built-in compressors and micro-processors.

We can offer hospitals and clinics everything from a small, low cost pneumatic tourniquet for one cuff, to a highly sophisticated, computerized electronic tourniquet for a double cuff or two cuffs with different pressures for bilateral cases. We market today 4 electronic and 2 mechanical tourniquets.

We also carry an extensive range of machine washable and autoclavable silicon cuffs with velcro covers. The autoclavable cuffs can be thoroughly cleaned in a dishwasher and tumbled dry before autoclaving. No water will enter the inside of bladders while being washed thanks to a special device connected to the cuff.

Apart from the tourniquet and cuff range we also make surgical osteotomes and microsurgical instruments of stainless steel and titanium as well as Gigli wire saws.
