Special-SPROTTE

The essential advantages of the legendary Standard-SPROTTE cannula, which have revolutionized regional anesthesia, are transferred to the continuous spinal anesthesia technique by utilizing the Special-SPROTTE cannula made by PAJUNK. This cannula also features the special design with an atraumatic tip and lateral orifice. The fundamental difference between the two cannulae is that the lateral rifice is relocated forward far into the cone of the tip in comparison with the standard cannula. This reduces the “working length” of the cannula tip in the subarachnoid space. The essential advantages, which are indispensable for gentle and safe application of continuous spinal anesthesia, are therefore combined in this cannula:

NanoLine

The new NanoLine PAJUNK® coating process enables PAJUNK® to achieve the same outstanding insulating characteristics when compared to conventional methods. The main advantage of the method is the fact that the new coating process allows to perfectly insulate the needle with a very thin layer which virtually does not change the outer diameter of the cannula or affect its evenness. The perfect evenness and the exact tip of the NanoLine cannula reduce the puncture force and allow for a highly precise stimulation.

Sprotte® cannula

A Quincke-and a Sprotte cannula penetrate the multilayered texture of the spinal dura.

The incised wound continuing to exist after application of the Quincke cannula may be seen by applying a push-pull movementupon the dura tissue.
