Company Profile
Profile
Multivac is a world leader in packaging solutions. The company’s strength in the packaging of sterile goods and other medical devices is based on over 40 years of global experience and co-operation with the manufacturers. The wide range of Multivac products comprises fully automatic thermoforming machines, tray sealers and vacuum chamber machines.

Mission
The corporate maxim, ”Better packaging”, reflects the company’s claim and commitment: to supply every customer with a packaging solution that provides the greatest benefits for both the product and the production line. This applies not only to the quality and precision of Multivac machines but also to outstanding customer service. It starts with a comprehensive consultation to ensure the customer makes the best decision for his product. It continues with an unbeatable after-sales support: More than 800 Multivac service advisors and technicians all over the world are at work every day to ensure maximum availability of every Multivac packaging system.

Every industrial machine is an unique, tailor-made solution, designed to satisfy the individual business requirements of the customer: his products, his production output, his production environment and his distribution system. This means not only individual configuration but even the development of new technical solutions to implement the special requirements of customers. The result is comprehensive packaging systems that not only produce perfect packs but also help to make the production process more flexible, highly economical and perfectly hygienic. Whether you need a high-speed packaging line for more than 80,000 syringe needles per hour or a flexible packaging system for small batches with program-controlled size changes: nearly any solution is possible.

Product Information
16.01.28 Form-fill-seal
Multivac R 530 21.11.2007

R 530 is the most extensive thermoform machine system for maximum capacity requirements by Multivac. The package molds are formed from a lower web, filled manually or automatically on the machine and hermetically sealed with an upper web, under vacuum or modified atmosphere (if required). Even packages made from aluminium-laminated films can be produced, just by compressed air and plug assist – without heating the films. Special requirements can as well be realised, e. g. multiple forming dies in different sizes.

The high throughput and the considerable saving potential in material- and labour costs effect low packaging costs. Thermoforming machines meet highest hygiene demands. Vacuum packs, modified atmosphere packs, skin packs and blister packs can all be produced on them.

Every Multivac thermoforming machine is configured to meet the specific requirements of every individual customer.

Thermoforming machines 21.11.2007

Multivac thermoforming machines are the ideal choice for fully automated packaging of uniform products. Vacuum packs, modified atmosphere packs, skin packs and blister packs can all be produced on them.

The package molds are formed from a lower web, filled manually or automatically on the machine and hermetically sealed with an upper web, under vacuum or modified atmosphere (if required).

The high throughput and the considerable saving potential in material- and labour costs effect low packaging costs. Thermoforming machines meet highest hygiene demands.

Every Multivac thermoforming machine is configurated to meet the specific requirements of every individual customer, based on the following machine types:
R 140: the compact one – little space required, for first time users and smaller capacity requirements
R 240: the economic solution – versatile, for medium output requirements
R 530: the high-tech machine – the most extensive machine system for maximum capacity requirements

Traysealers 21.11.2007

Traysealers are used for sealing of pre-made trays. The trays are either filled online on the traysealer or they are pre-filled offline, with subsequent loading into the traysealer.

After that, the following operations are carried out automatically: upper web infeed, evacuation and gas flushing (if required), sealing and then channelising and removal of the finished packs.

Traysealers can be used for the production of vacuum packs and modified atmosphere packs as well as for solely sealing (without vacuum or gas).

Key elements of a traysealer are designed and produced specially to satisfy the individual customer’s specific requirements.

The Multivac traysealer range consists of six machines with different capacities:
T 200 – semi-automatic machine for lower requirements
T 250 - semi-automatic compact machine
T 350 – fully automatic, compact machine
T 400 – fully automatic, flexible machine system
T 450 – powerful high-speed traysealer
T 500 – the high-tech traysealers with maximum upgrade potential

16.01.42 Sachet-sealing
Vacuum chamber machines 21.11.2007

Machines of this kind pack products of many different types and sizes in pre-made film pouches under vacuum. They can be used universally: within the limits of pouch- and chamber size, there is no limitation for the package contents.

Vacuum packs, modified gas packs and shrink pouch packs can be produced on these machines.

Vacuum packers are mainly standard specifications that are adapted to the individual customer’s requirements by choosing from a selection of different options. Relatively small investment is required.

Multivac supplies a complete range of vacuum packaging machines, consisting of
- table-top machines
- floor standing machines
- swing-lid machines
- large-chamber machines
- conveyor belt machines
and extensive accessories (e. g. shrink tanks)

16.01.45 Skin-pack
Skin packaging machines 21.11.2007

The Multivac thermoforming machines R 272 CD and R 570 CD are designed for fully automated production of skin packages.

The package molds are formed from a lower web, filled manually or automatically on the machine and hermetically sealed with an upper web under vacuum. Thanks to the special films used, the webs drape themselves gently but firmly around every contour of the product, whatever its shape or size.

The high throughput and the considerable saving potential in material- and labour costs effect low packaging costs. Thermoforming machines meet highest hygiene demands.

Every Multivac thermoforming machine is configured to meet the specific requirements of every individual customer.

R 530: the high-tech machine – the most extensive machine system for maximum capacity requirements

CAP Packaging machines 21.11.2007

Multivac thermoforming machines are designed for fully automated production of modified atmosphere packages (MAP). The package molds are formed from a lower web, filled manually or automatically on the machine, evacuated, backflushed with modified atmosphere and hermetically sealed with an upper web.

The high throughput and the considerable saving potential in material- and labour costs effect low packaging costs. Thermoforming machines meet highest hygiene demands.

Every Multivac thermoforming machine is configured to meet the specific requirements of every individual customer, based on the following machine types:
