New Midmark 641 Power Procedures Chair Offers Maximum Access 09.10.2007

Midmark Corporation announced the availability of its new Midmark 641 Power Procedures Chair. The chair is ideal for dermatologists, plastic surgeons, oral maxillofacial surgeons and all healthcare professionals requiring maximum access to the patient. The 641 also offers wireless controls that remove obstacles from the floor and allow more freedom of placement – a first in a procedures table.

“Today, 20 percent of all procedures are performed in office-based settings. This percentage is expected to increase significantly in the coming years as healthcare professionals continue to migrate procedures to their offices to meet patient demands, realize greater practice efficiency and ultimately profit,” said Jon Wells, Midmark director of marketing, medical products. “As offices add more procedures, physicians increasingly will need the functionality of an operating table at the price point and convenience of a procedures chair. The Midmark 641 offers maximum access to the patient and increased comfort for the physician and patient, raising the bar for power procedures tables.”

With many procedures that were once done in a hospital or clinic now being done in the physician’s office, healthcare professionals need to be able to quickly and easily maneuver the patient and have optimal access to the patient to perform procedures effectively and efficiently. Because procedure-based visits to physicians’ office are longer in duration, the comfort of the procedures table is more critical as well. The Midmark 641 Power Procedures Chair features versatile headrest positioning, which allows proper support of the patient’s head for increased patient comfort. The tool-less interchangeability of six different headrest styles supports a variety of procedures. Taller patients are also easily accommodated with tool-less extension of the integrated foot section. Wireless controls mean physicians and their staff can enjoy the freedom of locating the hand and foot control anywhere in the room while eliminating cords and obstacles from the floor.
