About us
Mercan AB is marketing reusable surgical barrier fabrics and readymade garments worldwide.
Together with one of the leading high-tech fabric corporations in Japan, Mercan has developed fluid resistance and impervious reusable fabrics.
Our high quality fabrics have great durability and a lifespan of 100 washings and autoclavings. The 3-layer barrier fabrics have FDA approval for 100 cycles and our garments have in practical use made 100 cycles (washings and autoclavings) with remaining 100% barrier.
Our products have CE certification and also meet the demands of the new European standard EN 13795.

Our fabric for scrub suits are developed to meet the demands in today’ s infection- and surgical wards.

The fabric is equipped with carbon yarn to protect against static electricity. The fabric is also free from linting. We offer fabrics with repellent as well as absorbent finish.

Our surgical fabrics are all tested and certified in Europe and in the USA in order to meet the high demands in the OR theatres.

We provide fabrics for dry and medium wet procedures, and fabrics for wet and sensitive procedures. The fabrics for wet and sensitive procedures are the so-called 3-layer membrane laminate fabrics.

Our fabrics have a life span of 100 washings and autoclavings. We offer the materials with repellent as well as absorbent finish.
