POCKET ECG 15.10.2007

POCKET ECG is a real-time home monitoring system,

designed for long-term automated ECG arrhythmia analysis, long-term ST segment elevation monitoring, fully automated, long-term QT interval measurements and long-term Heart Rate Variability analysis.

ECG monitoring for detecting arrhythmia and heart ischemia events with an automatic analysis and pre-selection. The device selects and immediately sends these ECG tracing intervals where an abnormal event took place. It is especially effective during the night, when the patient does not feel any symptoms, or during daytime in asymptomatic (but potentially dangerous) events. The automated analysis saves the physicians time, for there is no need to analyze the long ECG tracings. Consequently the system allows for monitoring a larger number of patients at the same time.

Post-ablation long-term arrhythmia monitoring, or QT interval monitoring during pharmacological arrhythmia treatment. Some arrhythmias may occur rarely, therefore it is important to monitor the patient for an extended period of time.

The system will automatically select potentially interesting ECG fragments and store them in memory or transmit them through GPRS to a specialist.

Portable ECG on PDA with analysis. Since PDA has become a very popular tool among the medical community (doctors), especially in the USA, the system (e.g. during home visits) is an easy way to provide more complete service for the patient.
