Interim Care Garments 27.09.2007

We are pleased to announce one of the newest innovation to burn care professionals. Interim care garments are now available for order. We offer this line in five distinct color choices and a wide range of sizing. With only one simple measurement, patients are easily fitted with a comfortable and beneficial garment that gives the needed compression for those patients who aren’t quite ready for custom garments. These garments are made of a stretch fabric that is easy to measure and even easier to fit.

Maternity Belt 27.09.2007

The Medical Z maternity belt is recommended for use from the 20th week of pregnancy or beyond.

Choice of Your Size
The sizes indicated on our brochures correspond with the patient’s size during the beginning of the 2nd trimester. To order the correct size, measure the pelvis circumference (largest part of buttocks).

If the pelvis circumference is close to the next larger available size, it may be best to order that size.

Take precaution when adjusting the Abdominal Support Band. The pressure applied need be sufficient but must never reduce abdominal muscular movements (under normal conditions the pressure should be between 17 and 20 mm Hg.) As the pregnancy develops, it is recommended to lessen the pressure of the abdominal support band every month, by moving the hook and eyes to a lower rank.

Care
Our fabric is used for several applications in the pressure therapy field (such as Custom-made garments for burn patients and plastic surgery compression). It has been tested for its:

elasticity
color fading
wear and tear
To preserve all qualities of your Belt, we recommend HAND WASHING your garment in cold water, using a phosphate free soap and AIR DRY. Do not machine wash or dry your garment or use bleach or dyes.

Plastic Surgery Garments 27.09.2007

A wide variety of cosmetic surgery procedures require scientifically calibrated pressure therapy. For example, in the case of liposuction, there is formation of post-operative edema; an effect called “waves” that may also appear. In these cases a calculated compression is necessary to minimize the effects while allowing all muscular movement.

We offer a large array of garments available in different sizes as well as two different fabrics. Our CoolMax and standard line both give the required pressure. The Medical Z pressure is at your disposition for a wide variety of cosmetic surgery procedures.

Our Elegance line of garments is made with CoolMax fabric by Dupont. CoolMax is a revolutionary fabric that is more breathable and comfortable than any other garment available today. It is embedded with a moisture management system that pulls moisture to the outer layer of fabric and dries quickly. The fabric is specifically engineered with a four channel fiber system that allows air to easily permeate the garment. CoolMax fabric is ideal for post operative garments since these garments are recommended to be worn 6 to 8 weeks immediately following the surgery.

A line of specific garments for every surgical procedure is available in different sizes.

Equalized tension of horizontal and vertical expansion optimizes uniform pressure, making the garments comfortable enough to wear immediately following surgery.
Seams lay flat on the garment interior, using the same technique for the manufacturing of the custom-made compression garments for burn patients.
As a result of a clinical evaluation, each garment is considered to be a medical device. More than 200 patients per product were evaluated to determine the correct controlled pressure and the length of use necessary for the garments to be effective.

Medical Z is the first to offer custom made burn garments manufactured with the innovative fabric known as CoolMax by Dupont.

This highly technical fabric is engineered to be more breathable and more comfortable than any other fabric available to date. It incorporates thermo regulation and helps to pull moisture to the outer layer of fabric and dries quickly to keep patients cool. It gives the needed compression of 17-24 mmHg without compromising the compression necessary to help aid in the reduction of edema and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scarring. CoolMax is available in four different colors and is machine washable.

Medical Z offers our six-way stretch fabric that is specially made to offer the optimum compression of 17-24 mmHg in a lightweight garment.

Our standard fabric incorporates all the characteristics neccessary to aid in the reduction of edema and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scarring. Our standard fabric is available in five different colors.

Z Grip fabric 27.09.2007

They’re finally here! The much awaited CoolMax Grip Gloves are now available. The new Grip Gloves are the answer to that “slippery” glove problem that so many patients experience. It is also available on the bottom of CoolMax Stockings. The Grip Gloves and Stockings are an added accessory and can be requested on the measuring forms when ordering.
