The LokoHelp is placed in the middle of the treadmill-surface parallel to the walking direction and fixed to the front of the treadmill with a simple clamp. The patient can be prepared for treatment by putting the harness and lower leg orthoses on while still sitting in the wheel chair. With the aid of a body weight support system the patient is stabilized and positioned on top of the treadmill surface. The width of LokoHelp is 95 mm and fits between the legs of the patient. A snap in mechanism allows for easy connection to the orthoses pick-ups located laterally on the LokoHelp. During therapy, LokoHelp guides the patient’s legs in a defined physiological gait pattern. There is no slippage because the LokoHelp is driven indirectly through the treadmill surface.

WOODWAY, with its superior slat-belt-technology, has set the standard in locomotion therapy all over the world. Several clinical trials have proven to experts in science and medicine that the WOODWAY locomotion system will provide superior therapy outcomes for their patients. By a suspension system the patient’s body weight can be unloaded according to his disease pattern. This enables to treat a patient who is not able to stand or walk alone.
