The common lateral flow immunoassay format has become a truly quantified diagnostic test.
MIAstrip™ offers rapid point of care testing in a single dose format capable of identifying a wide analyte range. Objective, quantified and traceable results are obtained via a portable reader in less than 20 minutes.
Direct electromagnetic reading provides actual quantification rather than subjective visual interpretation or approximated colorimetric density scanning. Unlike enzymatic detection labels, the MIAstrip™ test persists, thus providing the possibility to read the result at any time after the end of the assay. The quantified results are obtained directly and recorded electronically without human intervention. This unique capability enables integrated downstream medical records management and remote diagnostic capabilities via evolving telemedicine solutions.
MIAstrip™ offers Next generation immunoassay™ performance in a familiar and proven format - a level of diagnostic performance previously available only with laboratory methods.

The reader was designed within the ISO9000:2000 referential.
It was CE-marked by Bertin Technologies, the French engineering
company.
Man-machine interface and software were designed so to be 21 CFR-compliant. It is an industrialized product, ready for large-scale production.
The reading head can easily be adapted to a variety of disposable formats. In its standard version it offers a cylindrical reading zone: height 5mm, diameter 5mm or 7mm, accommodating both MIAstrip™ or MIAflo™ cartridges.
