Since Mr. Freerk Lode produced the first electromagnetically braked bicycle ergometer in 1952, accuracy, reliability and durability have formed the basis for all further developments. Whereas Lode BV initially only specialised in the field of cardiology and pulmonary function, it has since grown to become a multifunctional specialist in the complete spectrum of medical ergometry. Lode is world renowned as a manufacturer of high quality ergometers and the Lode brand stands for accuracy, durability and ergonomic design. The range of Lode products varies from bicycle and treadmill ergometers to arm ergometers, recumbent ergometers, supine ergometers and ergometry software.

Thanks to Lode’s many years of experience in production of medical ergometers and the continuous development to meet changing market demands, Lode is a flexible and reliable partner. In consultation with clients, specific ideas and requirements can be translated into a custom-made product. This has resulted in Lode also becoming a much requested supplier for various specialised ergometry projects.

Before leaving the factory all Lode ergometers are dynamically calibrated and, of course, all units are produced under the strictest quality control conditions. Lode is ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 and FDA certified and fulfils the EU Medical Device Directive MDD 93/42/EEC. Over years of use, service costs are almost negligible. In other words:

The new Corival recumbent can be used for obese and elderly test subjects and rehabilitation. The ergometer is suitable for test subjects up to 250 kg. These test subjects can exercise optimally in a convenient position. Thanks to the well thought-out design, the ergometer is easily accessible for all test subjects and patients. The workload range of 7-1000 watt makes this ergometer suitable for various applications.

Thanks to the simple keyboard it is possible to access the full menu functions with only 3 buttons. There are multiple preprogrammed languages available. The Corival recumbent is suitable for all body sizes.

ECHO CARDIAC STRESS TABLE (927900 22.08.2007

In the specialism echocardiology stresstesting is an important item; not just pharmaceutical stress of the heart but more and more a real stress test during echocardiology research. This kind of research requires a special stress table, an Echo Cardiac Stress Table.

A table convenient for both the physician and the patient. Only in this way, it is possible to make a safe and reliable diagnosis. Lode developed this table. The Echo Cardiac Stress Table allows to perform a stress test with a cardiac patient in supine position with an additional 45 degrees rotation over the longitudinal axis. This transversal slope to the left brings the heart in the optimal position for the echo research and researcher.

The physician can sit next to the patient without manoevring himself into impossible body positions.

Because of the minimum height above the floor and the adjustable hip and upperbody support the patient will feel as convenient as possible.

The Lode ergometer Angio comes standard with the Echo Cardiac Stress Table. The Angio can cope with both rpm dependent and independent load settings up to 300 Watts by means of the workload programmer.

The back support is adjustable and the Angio can be slided back and forth to suit leg legth. The adjustability of this custommade/usersdefined table for the specialism of echo stress provides the possibility to achieve “clear imaging” during test procedures.

IMAGING TABLE (907900) 22.08.2007

The imaging table is an electrically adjustable table for both supine and sitting ergometry. Due to its design and construction it can easily be combined with a wide range of measuring methods, such as ECG recordings, ultra sound scanning, and nuclear examinations. The back support of the imaging table is permeable to x-rays.

Thanks to its sturdy steel construction it is very stable, yet it is still easy to move because of its lockable castors. During exercises the table motion is virtually eliminated, even while the test subject is exercising vigorously. In combination with the flexible handgrips the test subject remains stationary as well. The adjustable shoulder supports provide the kind of stability you need to achieve clear imaging during test procedures.

Both back support and leg support panels operate independently and are power-actuated by means of remote control. The power actuators let you select any angle from 0-75 degrees for the rear section, and 0-42 degrees for the forward section. The independent ergometer adjustment (for Angio) lets you change the distance to the pedal electronically to fit every patient. To accomodate an even wider range of settings, the bars on which the ergometer rests can be set in two directions.

The Lode ergometer is designed for the imaging table. This ergometer can cope with load settings up to 300 Watts (continuously adjustable) and has standard accessories for pedal drive at supine ergometry and pedal shoes for foot fixation and a Workload Programmer. The Workload Programmer is provided to control the Angio either manually or by protocol. The user has the possibility to program up to 50 protocols for both increasing and decreasing work loads. During tests the display shows the values of Workload (in Watts), RPM, heart rate, est. VO2, energy etc.

Lode Ergometry Manager 22.08.2007

The Lode Ergometry Manager is a Windows-based software package used for controlling Lode ergometers and monitoring test subject ergometric parameters. The software enables the operator to program protocols, control ergometers, visualize, print, save and analyze ergometry data. The program also provides a patient database. The software has been developed and tested according to the Lode principles of accuracy, durability and reliability. The Lode Ergometry Manager can be extended with various modules, each with its specific functions and visualizations. The Lode Ergometry Manager is the ideal supplement to a modern ergometry setting.

The Lode Ergometry Manager can be used for testing and training in several rehabilitation settings, sports medicine, physiotherapy and research environments.

NUCLEAR CORIVAL 22.08.2007

The Nuclear Corival is an ergometer specially designed for use during nuclear medicine studies. The hand grip and two small wheels make exact positioning in front of your scanner very easy. For patient comfort, the saddle has a back support. The Nuclear Corival’s workload is controlled electro-magnetically and continously adjustable up to 400 Watts.
