LISA - Competence in Medical Lasers
LISA laser products of Katlenburg in Germany is the global technology leader in the field of surgical laser systems for minimally invasive and open procedures. The company specializes in 2 Micron laser technology, surgical laser applications and laser applicators for surgery.

The SPHINX Holmium-YAG lasers are available at 4 different power ratings in the range of 30 to 80 Watts. The individual models are for applications in Urology, Spine Surgery, Arthroscopy, ENT and General Surgery.

The RevoLix family of continuous wave 2 Micron lasers are superior to any other medical laser in terms of clean cutting, haemostasis and vaporization of soft tissue in endoscopic and open surgical applications in Urology, ENT, Neurosurgery, Bronchoscopy, Gastroenterology and Gynaecology. These lasers are available for hospital and office installations.

The new RevoLix DUO combines two lasers in one box:
LISA’s unique Two Micron continuous wave laser technology is for efficient and bloodless VapoResection of prostate. Holmium laser technology is for Lithotripsy of urinary stones. Reusable front firing fibres provide an outstanding economic benefit.

DioLix, the family of high power diode lasers deliver up to 90 Watt of laser power to tissue for treatment of vascular lesions, epilation and coagulation.

The company manufactures laser delivery systems which are reusable for cost reduction and are compatible with most standard surgical instruments.

World wide service, technical and clinical training is provided to partners and users.

RevoLix 13.11.2007

RevoLix, an innovative Two Micron continuous wave laser system for urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery and laparoscopy, combines the surgical cutting properties of the CO2 laser with the haemostatic effect of the Nd:YAG laser and the narrow damage zone of the Holmium laser.

Laser power is delivered to the surgical site through a flexible fibre, which makes it thus very suitable for endoscopic and minimally invasive access.

RevoLix DUO 13.11.2007

2007 LISA laser products unveiled the new RevoLix DUO.

This laser is a breakthrough among urological lasers: In a single device the RevoLix DUO combines LISA’s unique Two Micron continuous wave laser technology for efficient vaporesection of prostate with Holmium laser technology for the treatment of urinary stones.

Without exception this new product covers the entire urological range including rigid and flexible stonework, open-, endo–, and laparoscopic surgery.

RevoLix jr. 13.11.2007

New surgical laser for the doctor’s office

RevoLix jr. is the first table top surgical laser with Two Micron continous wave laser technology for the doctor’s office.

The laser combines clean surgical cuts, excellent haemostasis, near to none collateral tissue damage and flexible fibre delivery.

The scope of application is incisions, excisions and vaporization of tissue.

AutoFlex 12.11.2007

New laser applicator for Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery.

This applicator is self-flexing and steerable for laser foraminoplasty and discectomy.

The laser delivery system AutoFlex and the fibres by LISA laser products are reusable for cost reduction.

FibreBill 13.11.2007

Billing System for LISA laser fibres

The FibreBill system enables a market-driven fibre supply to RevoLix users. When generating the KeyCard the provider defines the number of cases a fibre is determined to be used for.

RevoLix lasers equipped with the FibreBill system can only be operated with a proper FibreCard in conjunction with a related KeyCard. The FibreCard is an autoclavable fibre label. The usage of the fibre is limited to a predefined number of cases. Clinical application and number of cases are encrypted in the KeyCard.

FlexGuard - a solution for a conflict 13.11.2007

FlexGuard: Disposable laser fiber insertion sheath – saves costs and time

The fact
For the therapy of stones in lower calices of the kidney the unrestricted mobility of the flexible instruments is required. The mobility of flexible ureterorenoscopes is impaired by laser fibers due to their stiffness and friction inside working channel.
The past
The conflict between mobility of flexible ureterorenoscope and laser fibers required a 2 step procedure: Localisation and identification of a stone in a lower calyx was performed in a first step with an “empty” working channel. Following the decision for laser fragmentation the flexible ureterorenoscope needed to be straightened again and the laser fibre was forwarded.
The future is now
With the decision for laser therapy the laser fibre is inserted into FlexGuard insertion sheath outside of the ureterorenoscope. Then FlexGuard and laser fibre is inserted into the deflected URS and forwarded until it appears in the endoscopic view. During the insertion into the flexible ureterorenoscope FlexGuard protects the working channel from being damaged by laser fibre.

LaserCard 13.11.2007

Billing System for LISA RevoLix Two Micron continuous wave Lasers

The LaserCard is formatted by the laser provider and carries the laser model validity and expiration date. A RevoLix laser equipped with the LaserCard billing system can only be armed with a valid and matching LaserCard. Comprehensive usage details are continuously copied to the LaserCard.

For data analysis and billing purposes the LaserCard is returned to the provider. The LaserCard Reader copies the data on the LaserCard to a PC via USB cable. The PC compatible LOPID software package provides sophisticated data analysis tools including adjustable treatment definitions (laser beam on-time, emitted laser energy, number of treatments, etc.) This feature allows the provider to adjust billing conditions according to his market situation. The output of this programme is directly used to bill the client for his laser usage.

MultiFoc 12.11.2007

Focussing handpieces for dermatological laser applications:

MultiFoc-Epi set for Epilation comprises a focussing handpeace with interchangeable optics for 0.4 mm and 7 mm spot diameter and reusable laser fibre MultiFib.

MultiFoc-Vas set for Vascular Lesions comprises a focussing handpeace with interchangeable optics for spot diameter: 0.6 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm and reusable laser fibre MultiFib.

Reusable laser applicators 12.11.2007

The company manufactures laser delivery systems which are reusable for cost reduction and are compatible with most standard surgical instruments.

TeleBill 13.11.2007

Billing System for LISA Sphinx Holmium Lasers

TeleBill is a data collection and transmission attachment available as an upgrade for Sphinx lasers. Comprehensive usage data are continuously recorded and copied to the memory of the TeleBill system. The integrated software distinguishes individual treatments by predefined criteria. Accumulated data are transferred as SMS message via GSM and cellular modem to a PC at the provider’s office. Data transmission happens at apredetermined moment like during nighttimes.

At the provider’s office the treatment data are analysed, compiled and prepared for immediate billing by use of the PC compatible SMS Receive software. The provider may establish his billing conditions according to the market situation and treatment data as laser on-time, emitted laser energy, number of pulses, number of treatments, etc. The output of the SMS Receive software is directly used to bill the client for his laser usage the next day.
