Company Profile
About us
Since its establishment Linet, spol. s.r.o. (Ltd.) has specialised in the development, production, and sale of modern equipment for hospitals and social care institutions. Over the years it has become a leading company in the production of medical equipment in the Czech Republic. Linet was recently ranked among the 5 largest European producers of hospital beds in terms of production volume and range. There are over 260 employees in Linet at present and turnover exceeded 18,8 million € in 2001.
Linet stands out from other producers and suppliers of medical equipment by virtue of its large range of products and supplied goods, and their exceptionally high quality. This fact is demonstrated by the number of top awards it has won at international exhibitions and by its certification under the ISO 9001 and EN 46001 quality assurance systems.
The progression towards current results began in September 1990 when the ruins of a farmhouse in Zelevcice, 35 kilometres outside of Prague, were purchased. Petit locksmith production with one employee began in January 1991.
In October of the same year the German company Wissner GmbH joined Linet. In return for a 50% share, this company made available its expertise in the production of hospital beds. From 1991 until 1995 production developed gradually at the old premises.
The construction of the new modern Linet II production hall was started in July 1996 at a green field site and completed within six months. The production and storage area of the new premises exceeds 5,000 m2 and the total construction area exceeds 12,000 m2.
By constructing a new plant, space was acquired for implementing modern production logistics and material flow. The company is equipped with the most modern technology. Welding is done for the most part by fully automatic welding robots, surface finishing is accomplished by the most up-to-date powder technology and assembly is done on production lines in a way similar to car production.
The basic idea behind this new system is the total elimination of production losses, product ion without reserves, without defects, without machinery faults, without unproductive operations, and without idle time. At the same time, all these measures retain high production flexibility. Such principles are applied not only to production, but also to engineering, services, and administration. This is all focused on one goal, i.e. to permanently increase the quality of products and services for our customers.
