About us
LIKAMED was established in 1979 by Rudolf Lipp as a distributor for RAMY couches. After the first successes with this line of products, in 1984 the company started developing and manufacturing its own range of couches in a highly specialised production facility.

The brand LIKAMED was born. Due to its success, two years later the production was moved to an even larger, optimised manufacturing location.

With factory manager Carsten Becker as co-partner, production modernisation efforts have been constantly driven forward and best performances continuously achieved.

In 1991 the LIKAMED GmbH relocated to the current premises at Eppingen-Mühlbach.

Innovative couch concepts were then developed, such as the NOVO series, which was the first dialysis couch with the much sought-after TÃœV-GS safety seal.

The ISO certification in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN 46001 took place as early as 1999.

In the same year, company expansion in the form of LIKAMED Service GmbH & Co. KG. was carried out.

New milestones were set in 2003 with the foundation of the LIKAMED Powder Coating GmbH & Co. KG with Carsten Becker as managing director and with Sebastian Lipp joining the company management.

Comfort for treatment personnel and patient

An optimum arm support is provided for the patient in every sitting position. This is made possible on the one hand by the individually tiltable and height adjustable armrests (5 cm thick) made of soft integral foam with arm cradles. And on the other hand, by the simultaneous movement of the arm rests together with the adjustment of the couch

Welded longitudinal and lateral ribs with an additional layer of foam allow adequate air circulation
Stepless electric motor powered height adjustment (NOVO X/XSK 330)
Separate electric motor powered adjustment for back and leg support allow stepless, individual settings from sitting, through lying and flat positions, to the bed position.
NOVO X/XSK 330 with stepless eletric motor powered height adjustment of the entire lying surface provides a fatigue-free treatment of the patient in every position (22cm elevation)
Shock and bed position can be activated with the colour-marked “shock-button”
Buttons of the NOVO X 330 hand control unit have raised symbols that can be felt by the visually-handicapped
