Laboratorios Leti is a Spanish pharmaceutical company with 3 Business Units: Allergy, Diagnostics & Vaccines, Dermatology and Personal Care.

In its different areas of specialization, LETI’s aim is to offer products that add extra value to healthcare. In addition to effective treatments, we focuse on prevention, early diagnosis and special body care.

-The Dermatological and Personal Care unit focuses on skin care and special body care products for children’s and women’s health.
It’s strategy consists in developing innovative dermocosmetic products with medical value.

-The Allergy Unit specializes in the manufacture of allergenic extracts for in vivo diagnosis and the etiological treatment of allergies.

SPECIALISED SKIN CARE PRODUCTS

LETI AT-4 - a unique product range developed to provide the best care for atopic skin, with emollience, cleansing, and protection, by treating all 4 symptoms of atopic skin: dry skin, itching, irritation and infection susceptibility. It’s ranking nº1 (IMS 03/07) in the emollient atopy market. It is considered the most efficient atopic skin product by Spanish Dermatologists and Paediatricians. Keeps growing +28% after 7 years in the market.

•LetiBALM – a formulation developed for adults and children to prevent treat and repair the irritated and damaged skin of the nose and lips during colds. It is ranking nº1 in the pharmacy lip care market since 2004, and has created its own market and users. It is a unique product (because is NOT a lip balm, is a nose&lip balm) that reached differentiated leadership in a very competitive market.

•Fem intim women for intimate hygiene and Fem Intim girls for intimate care with a special formulation for little girls, to avoid vulvitis. The two products Fem intim Paediatric cleansing, and Fem intim Paediatric cream are a complete treatment for the first intimate hygiene of all girls, to prevent and to treat.

•Urealeti - body cream for adult dry skin. Urealeti is based on Urea as main ingredient, but with some other active ingredients (Panthenol, Bisabolol, Oats…) which makes this product more effective and pleasant for the consumer. There are Urealeti 10% for adult dry skin, and Urealeti 20% for specific body areas with extreme dryness.

Diagnostics
Dedicated to the distribution of reagents for in vitro diagnosis, the division introduced the first immunological pregnancy test into Spain. Since that time, it has continued to supply this type of test, as well as tests for determining ovulation and premature rupture of foetal membranes.

Another specialised distribution line is the antigenaemia line. This line has an extremely wide and complete battery of quick tests for detecting respiratory infections, covering all types of bacteria and viruses. These include the first quick tests for detecting Legionella and S. pneumoniae bacteria, VRS, A/B flu strains and adenovirus in urine. They are sold under the BINAX NOW trademark.

Other antigenic and serological tests include those aimed at determining group A Strep, infectious ononucleosis and a wide range of fungal infections.

Since 1991, the company also distributes the synthetic MediCult Media for assisted reproduction techniques.

Vaccines
Laboratorios LETI, S.L. was set up in 1919 and researches and manufactures vaccines. It started on its long professional trajectory with a complete Vademecum that included most bacterial vaccines known at that time, including the Maltese fever or anti-typhus vaccines, to name but two. Subsequent development of an anti-influenza vaccine with inactivated whole viruses earned us World Health Organisation (WHO) acknowledgement as one of the manufacturers of that vaccine in the world.

During our 80 years of existence, we have devoted a large part of our activities and resources to vaccines, further developing that first Vademecum, into an extensive portfolio that has positioned us as a market leader in Spain.

Some 2.5 million annual doses of our various vaccines are made available to physicians and health authorities in Spain every year. They are all manufactured at our plant, Laboratorios LETI, in Tres Cantos, Madrid.
