Biofeedback Monitoring/Electrodes

Proper attachment of electrodes to skin is critical both for accurate body function monitoring and testing and also in the performance of medical procedures that require electrical conductivity. Adhesives Research’s adhesive systems use vinyls, nonwovens, and foam substrates, and each one conforms with the applicable skin test requirements.

Diagnostics

ARcare® pressure-sensitive adhesive-coated films and laminating systems are non-migratory and inert. They are used in many different diagnostic applications such as automated blood chemistry test cards, assays, lidding and sealing, and support mediums for membrane-based immunodiagnostic tests. We specialize in components for in-vitro diagnostics. We take a partnership approach to product development and give you access to our associates—from chemist to manufacturing engineer. We welcome your involvement in the product development cycle. Our efforts center on fostering long-term customer relationships and expeditiously providing technically advanced products.

Life Sciences

In response to the emerging needs for specialty seals and laminates for drug discovery and molecular diagnostic tools, Adhesives Research has begun developing specialty films and adhesives to address evaporation control for micro/nano fluid storage and mixing, films with low autofluoresence that allow for card or plate detection through the seal, adhesives that withstand the chemistries used for molecular diagnostics and drug discovery, and films that enable protein crystallization.

Wound Care

Adhesives Research has led the way with enabling adhesive systems for wound care that are non-sensitizing, non-migratory, and low in residual solvents. We are a pioneer in adhesives that are highly breathable and long-lasting, and where ease of removal is critical. We’ve developed latex-free adhesives to reduce the possibility of allergic reactions. We are particularly involved with adhesives for such areas as neonatal, diaphoretic, and burn care.

Thin Film Dressings

Adhesives Research has developed a Moisture Transmission Technology (MTT) PSA that has an extremely high Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) as well as long-term adhesion to skin. This adhesive actually wicks moisture away from the skin. By allowing the skin to breathe, this adhesive system reduces moisture buildup and the related potential for bacterial growth, and longer wear requires fewer dressing changes. These systems stand up to body washing without curling or peeling.
