Encouraging partnerships, facilitating projects
Adebag unites universities, research centres, local public institutions and economic players to promote and develop biotechnology, bio-industry and healthcare-related technology in Grenoble area.

Promoting a regional pool of excellence
The aim of Adebag is to encourage researchers and laboratories to capitalise on their technological experience and develop their research, with a view to creating new business and employment opportunities.
Potentially profitable projects are identified, accepted and developed with the cooperation of universities, research institutions, GRAIN and ARTEB (the RhĂ´ne-Alpes Agency for the development of medical technology and biotechnology).
A methodology is presented to potential entrepreneurs in order to clearly define their needs at any particular stage, for successful project realisation.
Adebag has appointed a committee which evaluates the technological viability and economic potential of projects at an early stage. This committee accompanies them throughout start-up.
Supporting development in biotechnological business sector
Adebag is the preferential intermediary for start-ups and assists at the various stages of their development by providing links to collective resources. In close collaboration with local and regional entities Adebag promotes scientific, technological and industrial competence raising Grenoble to European and International standards. Adebag’s creates contact among possible technological and financial partners for young companies.
Emphasing ethical concerns
The multidisciplinary Bioethics group works together with company representatives on ethical aspects of their activities. This unique group in France will expose companies to aspects of responsability and precautionary principles as well as to promote clear communication.
Informing and communicating
Adebag organises and takes part in the communication and spreads information destined to specialised audiences such as scientists or industry professionals, and also to the general public.
