Today the activity of the company covers design, mechanical, hardware and software development of the products, while company has considerable manufacturing facilities.
In the field of medical electronics, 77 Elektronika Kft. produces blood glucose meters and reflectance photometers used in urine analysis and the reagents of those for personal and laboratory use. Company is the leader of the Hungarian blood glucose meter market, and has developed dozens of OEM blood glucose meters for foreign markets. The range of urine analyzers developed by 77 Elektronika includes the world’s smallest size portable, battery operated one up to the fully automated urine chemistry and sediment analysis equipment. 77 Elektronika has been directly marketing its own products - blood glucose monitoring systems and urinalysis systems - world-wide since 1999.

DocUReader is the smallest member of the family of urine analyzers manufactured by 77 Elektronika Kft. It works with LabStripU11Plus urine multistrip, which guarantees accurate results every time.

DocUReader has an optical measuring head with 4 wavelengths. By pressing its only button, test strip is drawn into the device automatically and evaluated there. Strip holder is removable for cleaning purposes. Qualitative test results are displayed by red (pathological) or green (normal) LED. Semi-quantitative results are printed out by internal thermo printer. DocUReader also sends test results through RS232 serial interface.

HandUReader is battery or mains voltage adapter operated, portable In Vitro medical diagnostic instrument designed for urine dipstick reading. HandUReader provides extended opportunity in medical diagnosis by allowing medical staff to perform on-site urine analysis within a couple of minutes. HandUReader works with LabStripU11Plus test strips.

Test result is displayed on large LCD showing all 11 tested parameters and stored in memory for further possible data processing. LCD also provides necessary information for operating the device through menu driven control functions, including printer and data output operations.

LabUMat improves the medical laboratories efficiency by saving human labour in urine analysis. LabUMat is an automated desktop instrument designed for high volume urine dipstick reading. It works with LabStripU11Plus test strips. Up to 250 samples per hour throughput, timing free and batch mode strip loading, automated forwarding of the bar-coded sample test-tubes, operator free dipstick handling, automated data reporting are featuring the equipment. Large, touch screen LCD provides all kinds of information that are in connection with the operation of instrument and it also allows easy control. Automated handling of the used strips, does not require operator assistance either.

LabUMat & Urised

he efficiency of LabUMat and Urised can be maximized by using these two instruments together as one system. Labumat and Urised can communicate with each other to optimalize their common operation. The rack mover parts can be easily attached to assure the continuous moving of urine samples in the racks from LabUMat to Urised.

LabUMat has been developed for chemical analysis and Urised is a sediment analyzer system. It is possible that according to chemical results, only the selected samples (e.g. the positive ones) are investigated by Urised.

Results of both measurements are stored in one database, so each patient’s data can be accessed easily from the conventional Windows based PC of Urised. Connection of LabUMat and Urised accelerates laboratory throughput, as all necessary measurements which have to be done on urine samples are completed by this integrated system in one process, no further operator assistance is needed. LabUMat and Urised together are an effective and reliable solution for complete urine analysis.

For effectiveness, rapidness and labour savings 77 Elektronika Kft. has improved LabUReader equipment to the second generation. LabUReader Plus is a semi-automated, bench-top instrument designed for high volume urine strip testing that makes it possible to finish testing urine samples before clinical interviews for all patients. Up to 500 samples per hour throughput with worklist downloading capability, timing-free strip loading and automated data reporting are the well known and appreciated features of the system. It works with LabStripU11Plus test strips.

LabUReader Plus has enhanced User Interface: large (4×24 chars) LCD display and numeric keypad. The large display provides information necessary for operating the device, while numeric keypad allows an easy data-entry function.

LabUReader Plus is not only capable to send test data to PC host or laboratory network, but can also download worklists from host, making it possible to integrate LabUReader Plus into a complex laboratory system. New design, including conventional bench-top shape fits well to most of laboratories. Automatic handling of the used/analyzed strips does not require operator assistance and the maintenance and cleaning of the equipment is still easy and convenient.

Urised is a urine sediment analyzer, which is able to detect 10+5 different urine particles reliably in urine sediment. The system consists of the following main units:

- Measuring unit
- Operating and evaluating PC

Urine samples in test tubes have to be placed into supplied racks which are moved by the instrument. Urised stirs up urine with the help of a pipette, in order to make urine homogenous before taking sample. For the sediment analysis the instrument is using special single use cuvettes. After stirring urine, 0.2 mL sample is taken and injected into a cuvette by the pipette. Urised prevents mixing up different urine samples, so it washes both the in- and out side of the pipette thoroughly after sampling. Cuvettes with the urine samples are centrifuged to force all particles in the urine in one plane on the bottom. That is how the built in microscope can investigate the particles of urine. Urised takes pictures through its built in microscope in several points and evaluate them by a high quality image processing software which is able to detect and further classify the following urine particles: Red Blood Cells (RBC); White Blood Cells (WBC); WBC Clumps (WBCc); Hyaline Casts (HYA); Pathological Casts (PAT); Squamous Epithelial Cells (EPI); Small Round Cells (SRC); Bacteria (BAC); Yeast (YEA); Crystals (CRY): Calcium-oxalate monohydrate (CaOxm), Calcium-oxalate dihydrate (CaOxd), Uric acid (URI), Triple phosphate (TRI); Mucus (MUC); Sperm (SPRM).

Images are also stored in the memory and are at the disposal of a validating physician any time when samples have to be re-evaluated. The Windows based PC with the intimately designed user friendly and yet powerful operating software makes the use of Urised very simple and convenient.
