TRUNK RESTRAINER Ref: SU-220
RESTRAING OF PATIENTS IN BEDS OR CHAIRS
Sedated or disoriented patients normally lose their sense of balance which, at times, means that they suffer from falls. To avoid this, the nursing staff usually restrain the patients using sheets, bandages or anything else which comes to hand which may be used for this purpose.2miil’s trunk restrainer is extremely soft and can be placed directly onto the skin. The restrainig belts are highly resistant and they are sufficiently long for any kind of tying system to be used. Likewise, different levels of mobility may be permitted. Your salesman will inform you as to the best way of using this equipment.
Protection bandages
PREVESCAR boot
When evaluating a system which has been designed for preventing the formation of scabs on a part of the body subject to prolonged support, the measurement of the Transcutaneus Oxygen Pressure ( TcPO2) is used. The value of this pressure when no support processes are being used (in other words, the pressure given merely by the air at an altitude of 0 m, also known as the vas pressure) is 67 mmHg.
This 2miil product has specially designed cushioning elements which makes it especially effective, given that it allows there to be a decrease in the O2 pressure exerted over the cushion in such a way that the TcPO2 does not fall below 48 % of the base pressure, which corresponds to 32 mmHg, this is the minimum level defined in current protocols.
Cushioning.
Triple cushioning which prevents the TcPO2 falling below a base pressure of 32 mmHg.
Outer layer of velour
Made by using an ultrasonic process which avoids the use of seams, thus avoiding the formation of scabs as a result of the skin´s rubbing against the fabric.
Fastening by means of belt and velcro

RESTRAINING ARM SLINGS
Patients suffering from withdrawal symptoms of any kind often enter into a state of paranoia and it is very difficult for the nursing staff to control them. Their physical strength is greater than usual and they are quite likely to do things they would not do under normal cicumstances, some of which may even be dangerous for the other patients sharing the ward.
The methods currently used for minimising the efects of the foregoing equire the restraining of the patient’s arm whith resistant elastic bandages applied by the nursing staff. 2miil’s ring restraining sling is extraordinarily resistant whilst being, at the same time, cool and comfortable. It is manufactured by ultrasonic process and it is both cheaper and more effective than a hand-made restrainig bandage.
